2017 Festival Needs You
The Columbia Festival of the Arts runs on volunteer power.
The Festival is celebrating 30 years of bringing free visual and performing arts to Columbia and is looking for volunteers for our Free LakeFest Weekend, June 16, 17 & 18. This weekend kicks off the Festival with three days of free performances, arts and crafts activities, exhibits, workshops, demonstrations, music and much more! By joining the Festival as part of our volunteer corps, you help to bring this dynamic event to life for the more than 25,000 people who annually descend on Columbia Town Center to take part in this opening weekend. We’re looking for fun-loving adults and teens to help in a variety of areas. Individuals age 16 and up (13 & up with a Parent or Guardian also volunteering) can be a part of bringing this great event to the community. Businesses & Community Organizations can gain visibility by assembling a Volunteer Team to support the Festival during Lakefest.
We have an important job for everyone …

It takes several hundred volunteers to make the Festival run smoothly. Some of the volunteer opportunities at the LakeFest include:
Information Booth– These volunteers are most often the first people Festival patrons will meet. Info booth volunteers perform a variety of tasks, including fielding questions, providing directions, handing out materials and selling products. They are the friendly, smiling faces many rely on for Festival information.
Product Sales – Volunteers sell Festival merchandise and the merchandise of the various LakeFest performers.
Arts & Crafts Vendors – Work with visual artists in setting up their booths, learning about artwork, and providing relief breaks.
KidzArt – Assist the dynamic KidzArt team with visual arts activities for children of all ages.
